Yahweh’s Presence: From everlasting Psa 90:2

Before Creation – Overview

God’s Plan from before Time

Before time began, God wanted to live forever with people who bore His own image. So He promised eternal life and prepared a beautiful Garden where they could live and multiply, enjoying His Presence forever.
Tit 1:2

However, He knew that they would turn away and spoil His perfect world of love. Yet from the very beginning He made a plan for everyone who chooses Him:

  • He would send His Son Jesus to die and rise again, forgiving and cleansing all who believe and follow Him.
  • Jesus the Messiah would return to reign as King for 1,000 years, ruling the earth in perfect justice, peace, and abundance.
  • During that time the earth would be filled with people who love and worship Him, from every nation, tribe, language, and people.
  • God’s Spirit will empower His people to live His ways perfectly, forever.

When everything is perfected, God will come down to earth to dwell with His Son and His perfected family in the Garden restored… this time forever and ever!
Isa 48:3 Act 15:18

Before Creation – Details

God’s Objective

Before time began, God wanted an eternal relationship with Mankind, so He decided He would make Adam in His own image. He planned to make a Garden on earth where Mankind could live, multiply and have eternal life with Him forever.
Tit 1:2

The Plan so far

However God, whose name is Yahweh, foresaw that Mankind’s choice to sin would break their relationship. So from before creation, He planned for a Saviour, Jesus, (meaning “Yahweh saves”). He would come from the line of Adam/Eve, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, King David and Mary. He would suffer and die on a cross and take away the sins of the world.
Gen 3:13-15

The Plan yet to unfold
Jesus will return as King of kings, and after 1,000 years, restore the world to God, with the result that His people will dwell together with God and His Son, forever.

The Work of Christ, the Messiah, is Finished

Those who choose to be with Yahweh, God the Father, are adopted as His sons and daughters, through the work of God’s begotten Son, Jesus.
Eph 1:3-6

Jesus’s death on the cross and resurrection enables believers to be reconciled to God by cancelling the effects of their sin.
Jhn 1:29

God’s Spirit will enable those who are God’s, to walk in His ways; to be Holy as He is holy.
Ezk 36:27 1Pe 1:15-16

God’s desire is for a loving relationship with humanity. The Bible describes His plan to save people from every tribe, nation and tongue and so He can dwell with them forever.
1Pe 1:20-21

Below is the outline of God’s plan:

There are three main stages:
1) God creates the universe where He walked and talked with Adam and Eve
2) Sin enters the world and for 1,000’s of years people choose to follow God or not
3) God sends His Son to reclaim and restore the earth; God and man, forever, together
