Son of God and Son of Man – His 2 Missions

Jesus came the first time to atone for sin and to send the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to the Gentile nations. He will come a second time to establish the Kingdom of God on earth and deliver it to His Father.
1Co 15:24-27

Son of God and Son of Man – Background

In the garden of Eden, Adam’s sin separated Mankind from both Yahweh and the Tree of Life. However Yahweh promised that the seed of the woman would defeat the seed of the serpent.
Gen 3:22-23 Gen 3:15
The seed of the woman (Eve) is Jesus, the only begotten Son of Yahweh (God the Father), born of a woman (Mary).
Gal 4:4-5
Therefore, Jesus is both the Son of God and the Son of Man, sent to destroy the works of the serpent, the devil.
1Jn 3:8
He is also the Christ, God’s Messiah, Yahweh’s anointed one, whom God will send a second time, to restore His kingdom on earth.
Isa 61:2

The Presence of Yahweh

Since the time of Moses, Yahweh dwelt with His people for eight hundred years in the Tabernacle/Temple, until Judah’s grievous idolatry drove Yahweh’s glory from His temple. Yahweh has not returned — He will. When His will is done on earth.
Ezk 10:18
600 years later, God the Father sent His Son Jesus, to restore Mankind’s relationship and to bring Eternal Life back into the world. However, the Jews authorities rejected Him and Jesus declared that the temple was desolate, run by a den of thieves. He prophesied that it would be destroyed. The Romans completely destroyed it AD70 and it has not been replaced to this day.
Mat 23:37-39 Mat 24:1-2

The Cross, Resurrection and Ascension

For God so loved the world, He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life through the Son of man. (Jhn 3:16)
Resurrection power: He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but
have everlasting life.

The Son of God and Man: the Cross

Just as Jesus was both Son of God and Son of Man, all believers will share in the Divine nature of God when Yahweh dwells with mankind in a world without corruption.
1Co 15:49-53 2Pe 1:4 Rev 21:2-5
Jesus, the Son of both God and man, lived a faithful, sinless life. However, the Jewish authorities falsely accused Him of rebellion against Rome because they were threatened by His popularity and teaching.
Mat 26:59-60
So the Jewish authorities had the Romans crucify Him and nailed His ‘crime’ to the cross – ‘King of the Jews’. His Kingdom was not of this world and was no threat to the Roman Empire.
Mat 27:11 Jhn 18:36

The Son of God and Man: the Resurrection

Death could not hold Jesus in the grave, separating Him from His Father. Nor could death take His eternal life, because Jesus had not sinned. After His death, Jesus was able to be in the presence of His Father, because Death could not hold Them apart!
Rom 6:23 Rom 6:9 1Co 15:20-21
